Communications Manager

American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Oak Brook, Ill.
June 2006–May 2007
The ASGE, with more than 12,000 members worldwide, provides endoscopic education, supports endoscopic research, and owns and operates a full laboratory for endoscopic training.

Several of Curt’s family members work as health-care providers, but the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) was Curt’s first opportunity to engage full-time with medical professionals in a subspecialty society setting.

At ASGE, he worked with the Chief Communications Officer to research, develop, and track results of individual products, programs, and membership marketing campaigns.

He used his writing and editing skills to produce monthly news columns, e-newsletters, media backgrounders, patient education brochures, product catalogs, CME course brochures, and managed professional- and public-outreach exhibits.

He also enjoyed working with multiple staff on a total website redesign.
